Of Pressing

Of Pressing (Verbose Edition), A Poem

Thumbs of pressure bear down. He cries in pain.
They cried out for you.
He stands alone. Roams for help.
No allies east or west. A sad creature.
Ignorance, superstitions washes about.
To persecute; subdue, dehumanization, history has shown, is where to start.
“The lack of instinct and narrow-mindedness of our upper classes,
Make the people an easy victim for this Jewish campaign of lies” (Adolf Hitler).
“Therefore be on your guard against the Jews, knowing that wherever
they have their synagogues, nothing is found but a den of devils
in which sheer selfglory, conceit, lies, blasphemy, and defaming of God
and men are practiced most maliciously and veheming his eyes on them” (Martin Luther).
The inner nature of the Jew is not hidden with secrecy.
Our legacy, laws, and standards doubled, keeps outsiders silent.
Seven sentences rarely spoken.

The persecution persists in Christian madness.
Madness? “‘I know that ye are Abraham’s seed,’ Jesus said unto them, ‘Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do’” (John 8:42-44). “Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews” (Revelation 3:9). “Then spake Jesus to the multitude, and to his disciples, Saying, “The scribes and the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat: All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not” (Matthew 23, 1-3).
The Pope watches the holocaust in silence.
The eager cleansing of the weak, retarded, and faithfully deviant.
Can the lonely Jew escape such pressing conceptions?
Can he flee to the east? The Communists already expelled the religious.
Would he find refuge in the west? Or had Spain, England and France
Already made decisions in the past? There will be no Jews here.
Where can this man of God turn? Or should he turn his eyes downward,
And fall to the ground. Let the Jew be taken by the neck, History said, and strangled
By fumes. Poisons for the wretch, the creature, inhuman, inhumed.
So he will turn his eyes upward, and turn back to God for,
“If the Creator gave my body its soul, for surely he can take it away.”
But,
What of the haven,
the United States?
Will they let in the Jew?
Will they save the light?
Would they save the landlocked
Nation of priests?
Why, yes of course.

After he burns for the war.

Yom Hashoah is the Holocaust remembrance day, celebrated annually on the 27th day of Nissan, which is April 21 this year, starting on the even of the 20th; one week from today.

I have been holding onto this piece for over eight months because it never felt ready. It still does not, perhaps it never will be. However, I think now the timing is either very appropriate, not perhaps the opposite, so I have edited (again) and released it. I am unsure if the final version will have any quotes from the Christian scripture, but they are her for now.

As it has been said, “Martin Luther wasn’t mad [when he wrote “On the Jews and their Lies,” he was simply following what his scriptures said.”
