  • Drafting: Attempting a New First Chapter of TSP

Recently, I began working more seriously with my novels. At present, I am revising and preparing The Solune Prince for indie publication. This is taking me a bit more work than I expected, and the reason is that the first draft of Book 1 of The Solune Prince had some issues. Don’t get me wrong, […]

  • The Solune Prince: Sun Kiss the Moon

The Solune Prince Novella 1 Chapter 1 Sun Kiss the Moon Foreword Thank you for visiting, this is my first full-length novel. • The Solune Prince: [Workshop I]

A couple things before the piece starts. You can skip ahead if you just want to get to the narrative. First: This is a lightly edited sort of experiment. This piece projects itself into a much later chapter of The Solune Prince. Short background, the general concept is sort of a “coming of age” story […]

  • A Mess of Words on Chloe Rhye

I’ve created a mass of characters, in a similar world building vein to Pratchett’s Discworld. But out of all of them, I think my current “favourites” are Alexandre Jutt (shadow), Yaska May Däwngale (who may be my anima) and Chloe Rhye. Chloe is essentially a genius, but also a complete ditz who stumbles over her […]

  • The Solune Prince: Mental/Physical Resisance

The Solune Prince  Novella 1 Chapter 4 Mental/Physical Resistance “Why did I say anything? Was it nerves perhaps?”   Chloe exited the castle. The city had been built around the stone building’s backside, which meant that in order to get into the city, she had to exit from the front, walk half a kilocubit, and […]

  • The Solune Prince: Decision, InConcision

The Solune Prince Novella 1 Chapter 3: Decision, InConcision Morning came, but far too slowly. Chloe woke up mired, she felt as if she had slept a fraction of the hours that she’d spent in bed. When she awoke, time seemed to be moving faster than normal. She was used to mornings like this, days […]

  • The Hero and the Star

“My father told me it was long ago, I always assumed two or three thousand years. A star fell from the sky. It was unlike a dead shooting star. It was alive. It landed on the planet. The ancient people encountered it, and came to fear it.

  • Notes and Plans – The Solune Prince

I was at a point where I was almost ready to throw up my hands and drop the serial altogether.

  • Gathering All of the Evidence [ROUGH DRAFT]

Gathering All of the Evidence [ROUGH DRAFT]

Evidence This is a compilation of the first draft of the Evidence series. Evidence is a novella, only 20 000 words long. • The Solune Prince

    The Solune Prince

The Solune Prince is the story Chloe Rhye, Seventh Prince of the Solune. “We sent half of the police force out into the desert to find Rottts, the heir. She became a mercenary. A month later they return, half of them dead the other half traumatized, okay? Like, that’s as nuts where I come from as […]

  • A Short Introduction to the The Life of Hannah Alz-Aeur

A Short Introduction to the The Life of Hannah Alz-Aeur

She was about to explain all this, how she had started as a Harlot and learned of body composition. How she joined the church and met her priest, and became one herself. How she later became recruited into the guard and became Leftenant-Commander, and how she uncovered a deep secret that forced her to become the stand-in Emperor.

Kain took his time walking to the podium with a scroll in hand. That must be the verdict, Janna thought. He sat at the head of the room and, with a serious expression on his face, as the crowd began to shuffle back in.

It’s like Alice had some sort of broken and hilarious accent to match her jumpy and hilarious temperament. Alice sort of reminded Janna of a more excited version of her own ditzy sister, Chloe. And like Chloe, it seemed that she was not to be underestimated. Alice was a Vice-Captain, and also apparently a small god.
